How to Elevate and Optimise Your Instagram Account's Performance

When it comes to elevating and optimising your Instagram profile, one of the most crucial aspects is posting content regularly.

Consistency is key in maintaining an engaged audience and growing your follower base. In this post, we’ll delve into the importance of posting regularly on Instagram and provide you with some practical tips to help you stay consistent and maximise your profile’s performance.

  1. Set a Posting Schedule:

Creating a posting schedule is vital to ensure that you consistently share content with your audience. Determine how often you want to post, whether it’s once a day, three times a week, or any other frequency that suits your brand or personal style. Use tools like social media management platforms or scheduling apps to plan and organise your content in advance. By having a schedule, you’ll be more likely to stick to it and avoid gaps or prolonged periods of inactivity.

  1. Quality over Quantity:

While consistency is important, it’s equally essential to prioritise quality content over the sheer number of posts. Your audience expects valuable and engaging content, so focus on delivering posts that resonate with them. Take the time to curate visually appealing images or videos, craft compelling captions, and provide meaningful and relevant information. Each post should reflect your brand’s identity or personal style, maintaining a consistent aesthetic that grabs attention and encourages interaction.

  1. Utilise Instagram’s Features:

Instagram offers a range of features that can enhance your content and increase engagement. Explore options like Stories, Reels, and Lives to diversify your content strategy and reach a broader audience. Stories, in particular, are a great way to provide behind-the-scenes glimpses, share real-time updates, and interact with your followers in a more casual and immediate manner.  Experiment with different features to discover what resonates best with your audience and aligns with your brand or personal goals. Here are a few more tips to maximise the Instagram algorithm with your content:

  • Make original content.  Instagram values original content over reshared or reposted content, so try to be as creative as possible when coming up with new posts.  Try using your own audio, coming up with distinct and personalised captions and trying out unusual concepts.
  • Create your content within the app.  Creating your reels inside the platform will likely get your content pushed out more than if you do it inside a third-party app then post it on Instagram. Utilise the built-in features of app to increase your chances of maximum visibility.
  • Use relevant hashtags. Hashtags help your post get in front of the right audience.  Spend time researching the right hashtags for your posts to make sure Instagram understands what it’s about and distributes it to users are interested to see that kind of post.
  • Tag your location. This is a free way to make sure your post will get seen by people within your area, which is super important for physical businesses that provide tangible services.
  • Use trending sounds. Reels are a great way to get seen by people who are not yet your followers.  When a song is trending on Reels, the algorithm will show users lots of content using the same song. Get a piece of the action by making sure you utilise songs that are currently trending on your posts.

  1. Engage with Your Audience:

Posting content regularly is not enough; you also need to actively engage with your audience. Engagement is one of the most important ranking factors on almost all of the top social media platforms.  You need to spend time responding to comments, replying to direct messages, and participating in relevant conversations. Views are great, but you should be aiming for likes, comments, shares and saves.

Being responsive in your comment section and your DMs helps remind your followers that there are real people on the other side of their screens, makes them feel seen and also helps increase the number of comments on your own posts everytime you reply.

  1. Monitor and Analyse Performance:

Regularly monitor and analyse the performance of your posts to identify what works best for your Instagram profile. Pay attention to metrics like engagement rate, reach, impressions, and follower growth. Use Instagram’s built-in analytics tools or consider third-party apps for more in-depth analysis. By understanding which types of content resonate most with your audience, you can refine your strategy and optimise your profile for better results.

To elevate and optimise the performance of your Instagram profile, consistent and high-quality content is crucial. By setting a posting schedule, focusing on quality over quantity, utilising Instagram’s features, engaging with your audience, and monitoring performance, you can maximise your profile’s impact and achieve your desired goals.

Remember, building a successful Instagram presence takes time, effort, and a deep understanding of your audience. Stay persistent, change your strategy when necessary, and enjoy the process of sharing your unique story with the world!
